The sad side of webisodics

The truly awful Ford-sponsored webisodic series, ROOMMATES, on MySpaceTv, has been renewed for another run as reported here

I’m less surprised that it is being renewed (it features two hot girls in bikinis sharing an apartment) than that more brands aren’t trying and succeeding in this market.  While I have no interest in making crap like this, it is getting millions of views and is simply stuffed with marketing and product placement.
